Pre-Construction
- Courtesy site planning and conceptual budgeting — Before committing to a property, clients need to know what can be built and what it will cost. Sun State Builders provides site plans and conceptual budgets so decisions can be made with real numbers.
- Fast turnaround on conceptual drawings — We turn drawings around in days instead of weeks or months, because we know every day counts at the beginning of a project.
- Conceptual Budget monitoring and protection — Once a conceptual budget is set, Sun State Builders tracks it through design development, engineering and approvals, with budget checks at different milestones. If costs start to rise, the owner knows early. If there’s room in the budget, the owner knows that too and can choose to add scope.

Construction
- Transparency and honesty — We are committed to open and effective communication; we have nothing to hide. Owners receive consistent reports, schedule updates and cost tracking. Problems are addressed when they come up, along with a plan to fix them.
- Decades-long relationships — Sun State Builders has worked with many of its consultants, subcontractors and suppliers for decades. They know what Sun State Builders expects, and Sun State Builders knows what they expect. The result is competitive pricing, faster production and high-level performance. Those relationships lead to savings in time and cost that directly benefit clients.
- Built to last — Sun State Builders trains superintendents in-house to build the Sun State Builders way. Then they are paired with some of the best seasoned superintendents and project managers. Finally, in addition to an extremely talented team, our robust quality control process includes regular site visits and inspections by the company president. The end result ensures a building to be proud of.
Contractors often claim you can’t have quality, speed and price — only two of the three. Early budgeting, long-standing trade relationships and hands-on oversight are how Sun State Builders works to deliver all three, all the time.
Post-Construction
- Designing for the most value possible — Sun State Builders looks beyond clients’ current needs. The team looks ahead at what might be needed in the future to incorporate design and construction elements that make it easier, more cost-effective, and cause the least amount of disruption to expand a facility later or downsize for future sub-tenancy.
- The relationship doesn’t end when keys are handed over — At turnover, clients receive operation and maintenance manuals, fixture specifications and warranties. The team also handles equipment set-ups and start-ups, and training when needed.
- Warranty management — Despite all parties’ best efforts, the occasional warranty issue pops up. If it does, Sun State Builders manages it on the owner’s behalf, from coordinating with the responsible party to closing it out.
- Going above and beyond — A Sun State Builders superintendent was working next door to a building we constructed several years earlier. It was storming, and he noticed flooding in the truck court, rising and dangerously close to entering the building. The pump had failed. Instinctively, the superintendent immediately took steps to stop the flooding and prevented any damage. He then contacted the building owner and explained what needed to be done.
We maintain a culture of strong work ethic. At Sun State Builders, the buck stops with us. The team takes ownership of its work and doesn’t make excuses. We take pride in out-hustling any competitor.
