Every year, the Master Builder Awards recognize builders who go above and beyond—not just to erect structures, but to bring ideas to life with innovation, grit, and design excellence. From public service buildings to wineries and industrial campuses, this year’s winning projects show the breadth and brilliance possible when purpose-driven design meets steel-based construction.

Gateway Executive Airpark – Hangar A
The first of a three-hangar complex at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, this aviation facility was purpose-built to accommodate corporate jets with high clearances and uninterrupted interior space. Utilizing a Multi-Span, Double-Slope frame with a combination of Straight and Tapered Columns, the structure was designed for maximum flexibility. Architectural Flat wall panels in Polar White and Regal Gray provide a clean, professional exterior, while Galvalume-Plus Double-Lok® roofing adds durability and all-weather performance.
To meet the operational demands of executive aviation, the design includes two massive horizontal rolling door systems—one stretching over 102 feet wide, the other at 82 feet. The hangar also features insulated wall systems integrated directly into the framing of the door openings, ensuring a secure, climate-controlled environment. It’s a build that proves how precision engineering can deliver both performance and polish.
